Due to its high vitamin and mineral content, zucchini is a popular vegetable side dish. The zucchini flakes are easily digestible and low in calories.
Origin and Processing
The zucchini is a result of further breeding of the garden squash, which was widespread in North and South America. In Europe, they appeared on Italian markets on a larger scale in the 17th century. Their name also originates from there.
It is derived from the word "Zucca," which in its diminutive form is "Zucchino," meaning small squash. Many vegetable products available on the market for animals are imported from Asia and often processed with sugar. For the production of Paws & Patch zucchini flakes, only zucchini from European agriculture is used.
