Origin

The seaweed "Ascophyllum nodosum" is also known as knotted wrack or Norwegian kelp. The algae is a species of brown algae widespread in the North Atlantic and Europe. In Europe, its natural range extends from the Canary Islands to Svalbard and also includes the North and Baltic Seas.

The algae naturally contain a high proportion of minerals, trace elements, valuable amino acids (protein building blocks), and vitamins.
