A pleasantly fragrant syrup is extracted from the leaves of Mediterranean olive trees, a by-product of olive cultivation. This serves as the sole tanning agent for the robust cowhide leather of the PORTO series. The patented extraction of the wet-green® OBE tanning agent is particularly gentle on humans, animals and the environment thanks to renewable raw materials. The tanning agent has been awarded the Dermatest seal of approval as Very Good, the Cradle to Cradle Certificate in Gold and the Material Health Certificate in Platinum. The so-called Olivenleder® thus embodies the luxury of an ecologically sustainable lifestyle. The simple design of the collar underlines the unique character of the leather. Thanks to the double-bunched finish, PORTO hugs the dog's neck like a second skin, barely noticeable. The soft edges created by folding the leather over are gentle on the skin and coat of the four-legged friend. At first glance and without knowing the unique manufacturing process of Olivenleder®, PORTO hardly attracts attention. At second glance, however, the love is all the greater, because the purely vegetable-tanned and handcrafted accessory is both a »hidden gem« and a pioneer on the path to a better world. Note: Our leather is produced as gently as possible. With a dyed leather there may be a slight discolouration.

For the care of leather it is always highly recommended: "Less is more." Most leathers are already greased and require minimal refinishing, this is ideal for a leather care oil, or light leather grease (such as from HUNTER) suitable. If the product has become wet, rapid drying of the material, e.g. on the heater, is not advisable. Dabbing and slow drying will help maintain the quality of your product. In addition, we recommend to ensure that no moisture remains on the metal fittings. The product should be stored in a straight line, or stored accordingly. With proper handling and appropriate care, you will enjoy the usual HUNTER quality for a long time.
